Safety
The acting industry attracts scams. We build trust into the product: casting moderation, protected contacts and simple rules that keep you safe.
How we verify castings
Castings posted on GetActress are moderated before publication: we check the production company, confirm the project is real and filter out suspicious listings. Verified castings carry a “Verified” badge.
Listings aggregated from external sources are labelled separately — the original source is always shown, and you apply on the original platform.
Never pay to audition
- A legitimate casting never asks you to pay to apply, “register” or “process your application”.
- Don't pay for “mandatory” portfolios, classes or photo shoots pushed by the casting organiser.
- Never send an advance payment to “secure a shoot date” or “guarantee a role”.
- GetActress is free for actors. Nobody acting on behalf of the platform will ask you to pay to apply.
Red flags
- Asking for money, card details or a “deposit” at any stage.
- Rushing you to decide and moving the conversation to private messengers.
- Requesting explicit photos or a private one-on-one meeting “for the audition”.
- No verifiable info about the project, company or contact person.
How to report a casting
Every casting page has a “Report” button. Describe the issue — we'll review the listing and take it down if confirmed. You can also email [email protected].
Your contacts are protected
Phone numbers in listings are hidden from signed-out visitors, and your contact details are never published openly.
