Fox Orders Reboot of Classic Series 'Highway to Heaven'
American television network Fox has greenlit the development of a modern version of the legendary series 'Highway to Heaven,' which originally aired from 1984 to 1989. The new project will be created under the direction of James Katims, who has worked on successful contemporary dramas, and with the participation of Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment.
Production will also be handled by Landon Productions, which underscores the serious approach to the adaptation. Rebooting a classic series reflects the global trend of reimagining iconic projects for modern audiences while preserving their philosophical core.
For Russian actors, this project is significant as an example of prestigious American television, where reimagined classic storylines often become a platform for talented performers. The cast announcement is expected in the coming months. Filming is planned for 2026-2027 with the goal of airing in the 2026-2027 season.
